This project involved a complete renovation of the existing house in addition to the proposed rear extension. The house had a small kitchen and bathroom (typical of it’s age). My client wanted to improve the use and layout of the existing building, add further living space and form a master bedroom with ensuite.

A typical 3 bed semi-detached house in the Woodfarm area of Giffnock. This area is unique in terms of planning consents for 2 storey rear extensions. Ordinarily, this type of extension is not considered by any planning department.

The design incorporates an additional bedroom on the upper floor and enhanced bathroom. The ground floor provides additional living space with a study area and utility room.
